Gold N Silver offers cozy dining

By Kelly Wilkin, Outpost contributor

The inside of Gold N Silver Inn compensated for the rough time of a grueling night at a party. An old-style brown carpet with orange and yellow design seemed to greet me as I stumbled into the restaurant, looking for a calm, fulfilling meal.

The restaurant's interior wasn't the only welcoming part. The server, who appeared enthusiastic about her job, ushered me to a seat, offered me a glass of water and piping hot coffee; a perfect combination to offset the effects of a night-long party. She then gave me the menu and left me alone to decide what I wanted.

From a menu that was full of just about everything, I ordered a breakfast of burrito: a large tortilla stuffed with four eggs, onions, ham, green peppers and melted cheese complemented with a side of breakfast potatoes.

As I sat sipping my coffee, I noticed that the windows were tinted - a relief on my headache as it offered a calm mood over a crowd of other diners. After 10 minutes of relaxation, my food came. The potatoes were piled high and all the contents of the burrito were bulging out at the end of the tortilla. The burrito hardly left any room for the side of sour cream and salsa that came with it. All for the mere $7.54, excluding the tip.

The server came for the last time and asked for me if everything was OK and I replied: "Yes, it was excellent." She took my plate and served me coffee once more. The Gold N Silver Inn is a place for fast service, a good eat and a bang for your buck.
