Set in Paris during the 1930's "Victor/Victoria" is the story of Victoria Grant (Toni Tenille), a singer down on her luck, who is persuaded by a kind but struggling cabaret emcee to present herself as a man performing as a woman. She/he becomes the toast of the nightclub circuit, but unfortunately falls in love with a handsome Chicago club owner much to the dismay of his floozie girlfriend, and the hilarious antics ensue. The Broadway musical includes the songs "Le Jazz Hot" and "Crazy World," which were featured in the score of the 1982 motion picture of the same name.
