Rare movies become more accessible on the web

  • CASA VIDEO-This site has more than 30,000 video rentals, DVDs, laser discs, audio books and posters. Casa video has the largest collection of foreign, classic, independent and hard to find movies and documentaries in Arizona. They rent through the mail for $21 which includes the cost of three movies as well as shipping and handling. Casa video accepts all major credit cards, but transactions must be completed over the phone and during their business hours which are 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • RARE VIDEO-This site has over 12,000 hard to find videos for sale. Many are in their original packaging, but they also offer plain packaging, which can be a lot cheaper. This site also offers DVDs, laser discs, posters, soundtracks and other film memorabilia. They also buy and trade. You can send a check or money order or, for faster delivery, you can also call and use a credit card.
  • 1ST VIDEO-This site sells movies, games and posters and will also buy and trade. There's a posted list of movies that they're looking for, along with the prices they're willing to pay for them. They accept all major credit cards and are backed by CC now as having a secure server for credit card safety.
  • MOVIES 2 SELL-This site is based out of San Diego and has over 35,000 movies in stock to sell. They offer a flat rate for shipping ($4.50 for the first seven movies) and free shipping on orders of $75 or more. Their merchandise is new and used but they guarantee that all of their used tapes are inspected to ensure their quality. This site also guarantees that they have the lowest price of all of their competitors and they will beat any lower price by 10 percent. They also claim to have a secured server, but offer to do credit card transactions over the phone and will accept money orders by mail (no personal checks.)
  • VIDEO WASTELAND-This site specializes in movies and memorabilia from the 50s to today. It houses thousands of rare Drive-in era movies, cult, exploitation and horror films. They also have a section devoted to Mexican and U.S. Wrestling. To rent, you have to have a membership (which costs $25 and includes two books of movie reviews) and you have to be over 18. They accept all major credit cards and check and money orders.
  • FILM VAULT-This site is based out of the UK and offers a free search service. They handle formerly released UK titles and will track down hard to find videos. Once the title is found you still aren't obligated to buy it, which is nice considering that some rare titles can be pretty pricey. They accept all major credit and debit cards and contact the buyer directly to get all card information.
