Fly in
for some grub at the Aero Club
by Teresa Barnes, Outpost contributor
The Aero Club restaurant is in a beautiful old house at
442 Flint St. , off of California Avenue. As I walked toward
the house, music was coming from the side.

I entered and it felt like home. A staircase leads up a
beautiful wood door laden with etched glass. It leads out to
the backyard with a patio for dining.
The elegant dining rooms had pictures of Reno's military
history and memorabilia. The house is old, and it has been
different restaurants before this one. It was amazing to
look at the pictures and enjoy the atmosphere.
I met my friends at the marvelous looking bar. We had
excellent food, great drinks and wonderful service.
The hostess gave us our pick of where to sit. The owner
chose a secluded spot next to the window for us. While
turning the lights down to a romantic glow, the hostess
said, "enjoy." We followed her suggestion.
We started out with an appetizer of quesadillas. These
were not your average Taco Bell quesadillas. They had juicy
chicken with spicy tomatoes and hot melted cheese. Needless
to say, these did not last long.

I ordered the blue angel pasta with sun-dried tomatoes,
bell peppers, basil and olive oil. The angel hair pasta was
light and the sauce was delicious. Bobby, my boyfriend, had
linguini with clams in white wine, garlic and olive oil. I
tasted a clam. It went down smoothly.
Other choices on the menu included fish, chicken and
gourmet pizzas. My friends ordered the wings appetizers.
They loved them.
For desert, Bobby had pumpkin cheesecake, which he
described as great. I had a piece of cake that melted in my
mouth.
