Photo essay: Pyramid Lake reveals colors by Cathy Felty,Outpost staff There's an old saying in Nevada that if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes -- it'll change.
This couldn't be more true at Pyramid Lake. Beautiful changes reflect onto the lake, the surrounding mountains, animals, plants and people who live or visit there. I have lived at Sutcliffe, on the western shore of Pyramid Lake, for nearly seven years. During that time, I've experienced every degree of weather: warm spring mornings, hot humid summer afternoons and snowy winter nights. I've been fortunate to have captured some of this changes with my camera and share them with you. Posted Oct. 28, 1998
