Organization was a necessity for this day, talk slowly dropped to murmurs. We were slowly approaching Reno, a picture out of the old west descending on a modern city. Children living in nearby houses ran out, waving and cheering us on, pointing at the horsies and cows. As we dropped into the main part of town on McCarran Blvd., people stood on the sides of the road, holding up signs that welcomed us home. We plodded along waving to the crowd, our backs a little straighter and our bottoms not so sore. The cattle were rounded up into stalls at the Livestock Events Center.
