  • That Guy's Burning Man - If you've never heard or seen anything about the Burning Man Festival, this may be a good place to start. This site includes pictures, QTVR panoramics, writing, and multimedia from the Burning Man Festival, which is held at the Black Rock Desert.
  • Hot August Nights - The official H.A.N. home page contains photos of cars, entertainment and cruises from the annual classic car event in Reno and Sparks. This site is geared for car enthusiasts but it also will give just about anybody some insight into one of the area's biggest events of the year.
  • Great Reno Balloon Race - This official balloon site teases your with a small collection of photographs from the 1998 Reno Balloon Races.
  • Ghost towns of Nevada - The background image makes this site tough to look at. Once your eyes adjust, there are photographs of old towns in Nevada, such as Austin, Belmont, Goldfield,Goldpoint, Pioche,Tuscarora, Tybo.
  • Photographs of the Sierra Nevada - A nice collection of photographs showing the rugged beauty of the Sierra Nevada by Lukasz Salwinski, a graduate student at Molecular Biology Institute, UCLA. This site has not been updated for awhile, however, the mountain range hasn't changed much since, either.
  • Pyramid Lake - A photographic essay of Pyramid Lake by University of Nevada, Reno student Cathy Felty. The essay was created for Nevada Outpost.
  • Truckee River in Fall - A photographic essay of the fall colors along the Truckee River in Reno by University of Nevada, Reno graduate student Teresa Crawford. The essay was also created for Nevada Outpost.
