Getting to Reno by plane, train or automobile

  • Travel Nevada - This is a transportation page put out by the Nevada Commission on Tourism. The site contains information and links relating to various forms of transportation (planes, trains, buses, etc.), which will get you in and out of Reno. Once you enter the transportation page scroll down for the information. The main page is a comprehensive guide for tourism in Nevada.
  • Reno/Tahoe International Airport - This site gives you a list of, and links to, the airlines that travel to and from Reno. It also offers a host of links to online travel services. The main page supplies an assortment of information about the Washoe County Airport Authority.
  • Quick Aid - This site is a description of the Amtrak train station in downtown Reno. It gives the location of the station, and it gives the hours of operation and phone number for the ticket office. Another site Quick Aid offers gives the routes and times that Amtrak travels between any two cities in the west.
  • Nevada Department of Transportation - NDOT supplies this site, which links to both winter road conditions and road construction updates for all of Nevada's major thoroughfares. Whether you are traveling to Reno in the summer or winter, you can check road conditions ahead of time. In addition, the site gives road maps and rest stop locations for Nevada.
  • California Department of Transportation - This site gives the conditions of California roads and bordering Nevada roads. The site is very useful because you can run a search on any major roadway which you are planning to travel.
