Davis Roller Hockey "I played in high school and I enjoyed playing it," Jaillet said. "I wanted to continue playing it. It was something that I felt that I could contribute to the school because it's a fun program." Jaillet is currently recruiting both male and female players for the club. So far, Jaillet has gathered nine players including senior Jo Ann Wallace, who played for Team Easton for two years. Jaillet hopes to have at least 10 players to get the club going, but he said the club will take anyone else who wants to play.
"I've played against UC Davis a couple of times and they don't exactly have the best players in the world, so we can take anybody," Wallace said. "Just because you're a girl doesn't mean you can't play," Wallace said. Wallace said that potential players should have basic roller hockey equipment such as skates, gloves, shin pads, helmet a stick and elbow pads, but that a lack of money for equipment shouldn't keep anyone from joining the club. "If you need equipment, I've got old equipment that's still usable," Jaillet said. "Just because you don't have equipment doesn't mean you can't play. We can find you a deal on equipment."

Horn Jaillet is currently scheduling scrimmages for the club for this spring. Next fall, when the actual season begins, the club will compete in th Western Region of the Collegiate Roller Hockey League. The club will play others in the Western Collegiate Inline Hockey League such as UC Davis, Sacramento State, Chico State and Fresno State. The club will need the approval of the ASUN before it can actually play, but Jaillet hopes to start scrimmaging by some time next month. "The season won't start until next fall, but this spring we can set up scrimmages with other teams and get our team set up and ready to play in the fall," Jaillet said. Jaillet has contacted UC Davis, and plans to set up a scrimmage against the Aggies in Reno. Once the club is approved by the ASUN, Jaillet expected scrimmages to be easier to set up. "As soon as I get the club going, it will make it a lot easier to get a scrimmage going just because everything will be taken care of through the school and it will be more of an official type of thing." Anyone interested in playing on the Nevada Hockey Club should contact Mark Jaillet at 853-2452 or email him at Jaillet@scsr.nevada.edu.
